Washington

One misty, moisty, morning,
When cloudy was the weather;
There I met an old man
Clothed all in leather,
With whiskers under his chin.
How do you do?
And how do you do?
and how do you do again?

If you are short of nursery rhymes- you're welcome. That poem came to mind as I looked out of our trailer this morning.

We are on the pacific coast! We've been making our way around Washington. From Spokane, to the Olympic National Forest, with some family visits in between.

I'm really thankful we've been able to connect (and meet!) family along the way. They've opened their homes and properties for us to camp on and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. That's the thing about traveling, I love to connect with people and sometimes it's a bit sparse, so I'm super thankful for Marco Polo! But life has been full lately as we've shared many meals and conversations with family I might not have otherwise really known.

We hiked around Mt. Baker, picked some wild blueberry snacks (automatic kid win) saw glaciers, walked on some snow, and heard the marmots "whistle".

I also took a trip into Seattle with the girls. Wanted to check out the space needle (from a distance.)

Next we hiked into the Olympic National Park. Kids are getting to be good hikers! As long as snacks and water are provided (of course).

I've been trying to keep up with some art along the way. Watercolors are not my forte but it's the easiest to get out and put away. A couple of oil paintings too. Thankful for the time to put into art as I've not had my sewing machine :P

And that's a wrap for now!
